Lunch was incredible. Sumptuous with an unbelievable view. Marinated anchovies salmon and swordfish. Fresh mozzarella to begin. I had a raviolo with a couple of cheeses. Michelle a pasta with eggplant. Vi had a potato/pasta casserole and Lucy had a citrus risotto Dessert? Yes please
Today was the day to take off for The island of Capri. Our hosts at the hotel Pino and his wife gave us a ride to Amalfi for the boat
We waited outside of the hotel for a ride to Amalfi to catch a bus to Salerno
We arrived to the port of Salerno. It seems like a “big” city in comparison to where we have been. A little disappointing but had a nice lunch with the locals. Seafood pastas cheese and of course limoncello at the end of the meal
Caught the bus back to Amalfi and it was packed. We all did not do very well on that ride. It looked as if our faces were covered with flour. Very queasy. We had missed the connecting bus to Furore so we needed the walk. We stopped for a drink on the pier. The hotel was an oasis!!!!!
Tomorrow Capri with lots of Dramamine
So the boat. I am so good with motion! Took a gum Dramamine for the 20 minute ride to Positano. None of us got off feeling great but walked around the picturesque town. Lots of shops through little winding streets up and down the village
Shaved artichoke with Parmesano Reggianno and lemon. A red snapper with lemon and potatoes for me. Delectable. My mouth waters as I write this. Michelle had a ravioli. Yum
We left the massive gardens and went to have a pizza with Pinos friend in Ravello. Covina do Sofi
We awaited the bus for Ravello in Amalfi. We would return to Amalfi later. A million people awaiting a harrowing ride. I don’t like roller coasters Vi and Michelle got a little motion sickness
Ravello was nothing short of amazing. A word I use infrequently We walked to the gardens of Villa Cimbrone. WOW. Just spectacular.
