If you have never been to an open air market in Europe, you are missing out. The market in Barcelona is sublime. It hits every sense. Went to El Quim de La Boqueria to have breakfast. Grilled foie gras , tortilla chistorra mimosa coffee zumo. Just so fresh so good

A Late Night Snack

Believe it or not, we were hungry. We walked Ramblas and everything was crowded. Came upon a little restaurant and had some snacks. Jamon with melon. A goat cheese on bread and some delicious cocktails with Lady and the Tramp  

       

Tibidabo

Went up a large mountain to get to the to of Tibidabo. I had been many many years ago. Beautiful view of all of Barcelona. But I forgot about a brut fi church up a little higher. No matter we had a couple of cocktails and we’re lucky to find a cab to take us down. It was a holiday in Barcelona  

 

A Little repast

so we went to eat at one of Brian’s fave places, Bar Mut. It’s a smallish bistro that serves excellent food. Had olives, chistorra , jamon and foie gras. Yummo  

       

The Descent

We bought the tickets to take the elevator up the spires of the church  2 years ago, when we did it, it was actually much higher. Due to construction we got pretty high up there. To hey down, you climb down these narrow steps and get to look at some incredible vistas and a closer look at some of the mosaics, writings and art on the church. Not for claustrophobics nor if you are afraid of heights of which I am both  

               

Sagrada Familia

I have visited this church on many occasions and every time I see it I discover something new  it’s so overwhelming that it’s over a hundred years that this has been going on. Inside is like a forest. The stained glass is spectacular. DownstIrs is a museum explaining Gaudis process
